The toy version of the poodle is recognized as a separate breed,
surprisingly these dogs descend from working stock originally used
to guard sheep. One of the more popular show dogs they can have
very detailed coat clips or kept neat and trim with a lamb clip.
They make great companion dogs and have wonderful personalities.

"Hi, I saw your post, and your great website. I am sending
in a photo of my dog "Dude"...
He's a full stock toy poodle, but due to his heavy country eating
he's 19 pounds instead of seven. He's 11 years old.

Your Toy Poodle Picture of 'Dude' is definitely one
of the best we've had so far, he looks like he's a lot of fun, a
real cutie.

How They Measure Up:
The Toy Poodle comes to us from Germany, it's coat
can be curly / shaggy in a wide variety of colors. You can count
on spending some time on grooming, a daily brushing is best and
clipping may be needed every 6 to 8 weeks.
Their height is normally under 11 inches and can weigh
up to 15 lbs.
Toy Poodles are part of the Toy Dog Group, you can
read alittle more about the Toy
Group here.
