Being part of the Hound Group, the Basset Hound comes from to us
via France. A relative of the Blood Hound the Basset is a scent
hound and you need to keep an eye on them as they are known to take
off on their own.
You need to keep an eye on their weight due to their extra long
back and closeness to the ground, they thrive with a nice daily
walk.
They have a very distinctive baritone hound bark that will take
some getting used to if you're unfamiliar with the hound sound.

Part of the Hound
Group comes to us via France, worked in packs to flush prey
from the underbrush.
Country of Origin: Originally from France, further
developed in the UK, a descendant of the Blood Hound.
Coat Type: Coat is short and easy to care for , a
quick weekly brushing will do. Colors are white with tan and black.
Height: 13 to 15 inches.
Weight: 18 to 30 lbs.
Nature: Loves people, can be persistent, consistent
training required.
